A walk in the town
Explore the bustling market square with its bars, restaurants, ice cream parlours and weekly farmer’s market, where you can purchase fresh local produce. The balmy summer evenings are perfect for going out and enjoying the many festivals, concerts and night-shopping events that are organised regularly. The town centre is just a 15-minute walk from here.
A day by the lake
Swimming, pedal boating, surfing, sailing, kite surfing and stand-up paddling: the Kalterersee lake is the warmest lake in the Alps and offers plenty of opportunities for rest and recreation. Enjoy an aperitivo by the lake or take a walk around it while relishing a delicious Italian ice cream!

Up to the Mendel pass
The Mendelbahn funicular was built in 1903 and is still one of the steepest funiculars in Europe. It negotiates a climb of about 850 metres with a gradient of 64% in around 12 minutes – a ride worth taking! The valley station of the Mendelbahn funicular is only 50 metres away from Babioshof, and you can ride for free using our WinePass!
